I am Aisha Zawedde. I live in Buziga and am 20 years old. I have one child and he is a boy. There are many reasons why I took this course. This course is very important because it is going to make my dream come true. For many years now I dreamt of becoming a doctor, nurse or a therapist so that I would help people in need (for example the stressed and injured).

I am Edgar Mwesigwa, I am 20 years old and I have yet to be employed. I live in Buziga and I am a student of the African Touch school located at Wentz medical center located along Kawuku Road. It is a great pleasure for me to be part of the school because the school is involved in one of the things/aspects that are so essential to human life, that is to say massage.

My name is Fredrick Wobusinge I am 23 years of age. I have completed my bachelors in sports science. I am very happy to have gotten a chance to train as a massage practitioner with the African Touch organization. I was always looking forward to to do a course which is highly practical whereby you can easily get employed or employ yourself because of the skills you possess.

My name is Lydia. I am twenty five years old, the third of five siblings and have a 9 month old child. I have a B.A. degree in Developmental studies, and have been unemployed for the past year. Some of my hobbies are interacting with others, I love watching movies and camping. I come from a christian family, which makes me a christian.

I am Memory Nagawa, 22 years of age and I am an orphan. I live on Kawuku road, the same road as the school and Wentz Medical Clinic. I hope to acquire skills as far as massage is concerned that will enable me to help people around me, like the injured, those who want to relax and refresh their bodies and minds, among others.

My name is Merian Nagita and I am 21 years of age. I pursued a certificate in psychiatric nursing at Butabika School of psychiatric nursing, but due to the unemployment in Uganda I do not have a job.

My name is Milly Naluswata and I live in Buziga. Clinical theory and practice, and anatomy and physiology are important courses for me and something I have admired for a long time. Now that the opportunity for me to study these subjects is here, I am very grateful.

"Ever heard of massage therapy?" Many that I spoke to had at least a slight idea; some were evidently biased (and specifically thought this was an immoral practice) while a few didn't know anything much about it. In most countries in Uganda, little is know about the subject of massage. As a result of this information gap, many people have a bias on the practice. This pattern of thinking probably has its roots in the fact that many massage parlours in our country have for a long time been consistently associated with the sex industry.

My name is Stellah Namunapa, a twenty two year old female. I am a graduate of Makerere University 2012 and pursued a degree in Business Statistics. I am a Christian and come from a family of five children, where I am the fourth. I have one brother and three sisters.

I would like to take this training because it will help me have a profession in my life. I could not have enough education as I wished due to struggling with school fees after the death of my mother. I have been trained by a friend to do massage which has really helped me. I think that if I get some real profession training I will gain a lot, even to be able to help my family and to have a better future.

I like this course because it could help me to find new friends in my life which would help to increase my chance of future brightness. It would also help me improve my resume and help me to compete for job opportunities in the health cub field.

I am 23 years of age and I am an orphan. I am a cheerful, talkative and sometimes funny person with a good moral standing. I usually keep quiet when I feel like I am not making sense out of my talking. I love interacting with people and I believe together people can achieve more than individuals can. I am very straight forward but quite conscious and mindful of peoples feelings. I highly regard, respect both myself and others. I get down and broken when I see people in need and I can't do anything to help them.
