- 2003 - Volunteer Massage Services
Assessment, treatment, rehabilitation expertise, and clinical records provided to group members of the Kenya Performing Arts Group
- 2003 - Volunteer Therapeutic Massage Training
Introduction to Therapeutic Massage course given to members of the Kenya Institute for the Blind
- 2004 - Apprenticeship Training Program
Free 100 hour Therapeutic Massage course offered to two Kenyans who were selected to become The African Touch Massage Academy Project's practical assistants.
- 2004, 2005 - Income Generating Projects
Two one- month supervised outreach services by the apprentices at the Kenya Performing Arts Group and at the Nairobi Place Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Center.
- 2005 - Apprentice Job Creation
Apprentices Dorothy Ochieng' is working in place of Yvonne Poulin,RMT in her busy practice in the FutureAge Medical Clinic in Karen, Nairobi. Apprentice Kenyua Gacheche is working part time in his home and on-site massage therapy practice in Nairobi.

- 2005 - Curriculum Study Group
Twelve British Columbia Registered Massage Therapists participated in a study project to create an outline of the curriculum to be used in the four-month Massage Academy training program in Nairobi, Kenya. Read more about this on our RMT Fundraiser page.
- 2005 / 2006 - Massage for Africa fundraiser
During the week of December 12 - 17, 2005, participating BC Registered Massage Therapists contributed $5.00 from each massage they gave and invited their clients to match that donation. All proceeds went towards the Massage Academy Project in Africa.

Became officially registered as a Canadian Not-For-Profit Society.
Obtained approval for the Massage Academy Project course curriculum by the Association of Massage Therapists and Wholistic Practitioners of Canada.
Received a federal grant from Service Canada to hire a Summer Career Employment student.
- 2006 - The Zanzibar Project (More Information here)
The African Touch is providing an intensive course to train local massage therapists to work in a private spa in Stonetown, Zanzibar. This project is being implemented with the assistance of the Hands Across Borders Society (link this to LINKS page please) and the UWZ, a local association working for the needs of the disabled.
