Wow, we just realized we have been here for 2 weeks. How the time flies by!
We are happy to say that we have now settled into our place and even have a little bit of furniture! We also were initially without hot water and then without any water, but both those issues were resolved today.
Reace definitely enjoyed a warm soak in the big plastic tub we got for his baths and for laundry. We are slowly finding our way around on the local Matatu - Taxi/buses that can get you most everywhere. Curt has also been getting around some on the Boda Bodas (motorcycles that take passengers), but Reace and I will continue to opt out of this mode of transport. We have been walking lots and actually pulled out the stroller the other day (ours in the only one we have seen in Uganda to date).
We have confirmed that we will be holding the school at the Wentz medical clinic and the clinic is about a 15 minute walk from our place. The first massage table should be ready by Friday for approval and we are starting to look into buying a tent, as renting one for 5 months will likely cost just about as much.
That's about it for now, except for some belated wishes for a happy Mothers Day to all the Moms out there - the toughest and most rewarding job in the world! xo
