Massage Academy Project

We are currently seeking funding to implement our Massage Academy Project

Program Outline:

The objective of this small business development project is to produce 30 people who are self employed in the occupation of therapeutic massage. Our goal is to reduce poverty, empower youth, women, and disabled persons. Candidates will be selected through various organizations working in the residential slum of Kibera and from the visually impaired community of Nairobi.

Curriculum of Four-month (500-hour) Course

- Therapeutic Massage - Theory and Practical
    - Human Health Sciences
        - Supervised Outpatient Clinic Practicum
            - Business Development Theory
                - Supervised Community Outreach
                    - Red Cross Standard First Aid
                        - HIV/Aids Awareness Course

Five-month Job Creation Phase

Graduates will be provided with all the equipment and supplies required to establish their own clinical practices.  They will receive mentorship and support to assist them to implement the skills they have obtained.
